April 2016 - Caribbean, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain

May 7, 2016
Happy Day and apologies for the lag time.  The hour hand on the clock of life has been rotating wildly for the past while.  I enjoyed a nice two week vacation in Antigua (Caribbean) in late March, early April and returned to Saudi Arabia to cover four management positions ie HSE Manager for Outotec "Projects", Outotec "Maintenance" and Outotec "Shut Down Services", as well as Site SHE Manager for Crystal Ilmenite.  It has kept me busy working up to 15 hours a day seven days a week.  That said, I did slip away to Bahrain via Dammam at the end of April for a required visa stamp and I will require another 30 day visa stamp May 26th.  (I wasn't able to fly to Cairo as planned due to severe flooding in the area as well as unrest in Egypt.. maybe in late May)

The local beach I swim at most nights after work... jelly fish are now blooming so I need to watch out for stings...

A creature that washed up on the local beach...

We had some serious rains and flash flooding in the area in mid April... over 40 deaths and many roads and bridges washed out.

Al Birk:  The Finns being questioned by Saudi Civil Defense re: passports.  We were told we weren't to leave the beach until we signed a letter explaining why we were there but we managed to get away.

 I'm turning Arabian...
